KTA Golf tourney coming soon

KTA will be hosting the 36th annual KTA Super Stores Big Island Seniors Golf Tournment, scheduled to be held Saturday, Sept. 19 at Hilo Municipal Golf Course.

The event will be an 18-hole tournament with a 7 a.m. shotgun start. Check-in will open at 6 a.m.

Prizes include up to $3,000 in total KTA gift certificates. The number of prizes will be determined by the number of entries received for each flight. A rules sheet will be provided upon registration.

Cost to compete is $150 per player, which includes green and cart fees and bento. Deadline to register is Monday, Sept. 14.

Proceeds from the day will benefit the KTA Super Stores Golf Scholarship for Big Island Junior Golf Association (BIJGA) high school seniors.

Interested participants are encouraged to sign up for the early-bird entry fee, which costs $125 per player. Deadline to register is Saturday.

Applicants are required to be at least 50 years or older as of Sept. 19 and must be a Big Island resident. Handicap indexes will not be accepted.
