UPDATE 10:55 a.m.:<\/strong> Police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred in Puna Tuesday evening, described in a previous police release as a homicide.<\/p>\n

At 9:58 p.m., Puna patrol officers responded to a residence in the 12-7800 block of Kalapana Kapoho Beach Road in Pahoa for a report of a deceased male on the property. Officers located an elderly deceased male on the property. Due to suspicious circumstances, detectives from the East Hawaii Criminal Investigation Section responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation. Positive identification of the victim is pending. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.<\/p>\n

Police believe that this homicide is related to two others that occurred in the vicinity in the past two days.<\/p>\n

Police are seeking the public\u2019s assistance in locating Jacob Daniel Baker, 36, of Pahoa, for questioning in connection with this investigation.<\/p>\n

Baker is described as Asian, 5-feet-9 inches tall, about 190 pounds, with short black hair. He also has a tattoo under his left eye.<\/p>\n

Police have describedf him as \u201carmed and extremely dangerous\u201d and the public is urged to not approach Baker and to call 911 immediately if he is seen.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information regarding this investigation or Baker\u2019s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Duane Rapoza at (808) 961-2383 or Duane.Rapoza@hawaiipolice.gov, or Detective Sy Keltner at (808) 961-2384 or at Sy.Keltner@hawaiipolice.gov.<\/p>\n

Members of the public may also call the police department\u2019s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.<\/p>\n

Those who prefer anonymity can call Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000. All Crime Stoppers information is confidential.<\/p>\n

UPDATE 9:46 a.m.: <\/strong>Police are seeking 36-year-old Jacob Daniel Baker, of Pahoa, who is a suspect in three homicides in Puna.<\/p>\n

Baker is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Police urge the public to not approach him. If seen, members of the public should contact 911 or (808) 935-3311.<\/p>\n

On Monday evening at 8:47 p.m., Puna patrol officers responded to a residence in the 14-000 block of Papaya Farms Road in Pahoa for a report of a dead man at the residence. Officers found an elderly dead man at the home.<\/p>\n

Due to suspicious circumstances, detectives responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation. Positive identification of the victim is pending.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday afternoon at 12:39 p.m., Puna patrol officers responded to a residence at the 14-300 block of Papaya Farms Road in Pahoa and found an elderly dead man at the residence with suspicious injuries.<\/p>\n

Detectives responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation. Positive identification of the victim is pending.<\/p>\n

Autopsies will be performed today on both victims to determine the exact causes of death.<\/p>\n
