A Hilo grand jury indicted him on March 19, 2025, for the offenses, which allegedly occurred between March 2013 and July 2014.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The victim \u2014 who is identified in the indictment only by her initials \u2014 was born in July 1998 and is now an adult.<\/p>\n<p>A bench warrant issued with the indictment set Fiorentino\u2019s bail at $150,000, but after hearing arguments by Deputy Prosecutor Heipua Ah Loy and Fiorentino\u2019s lawyer, William Harrison, Hilo Circuit Judge Peter Kubota increased Fiorentino\u2019s bail to $400,000 and ordered him to return to court June 15 for further proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Fiorentino was arrested May 7 in Miami Beach, Fla., by Miami-Dade sheriff\u2019s deputies, and was escorted back to Hilo by investigators for the Hawaii County prosecutor\u2019s office, according to Prosecutor Kelden Waltjen.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/movingtohawaiiguide.com\/?p=449\">Trump cuts funds to Hawaii fraud unit, threatening state\u2019s Medicaid funding<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Waltjen said the case that led to Fiorentino\u2019s return to the Big Island was initiated by the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Department in Hillsborough, N.C., one of the places Fiorentino lived after leaving Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p>According to police reports, Fiorentino had moved and was living in Miami Beach prior to his arrest, Waltjen said in a statement. During booking by the Hawaii Police Department, however, Fiorentino gave a New Orleans address.<\/p>\n<p>First-degree sexual assault is a Class A felony that carries a potential 20-year prison term.
