McGonigle also had a solo homer, while Wenceel Perez supplied a two-run triple.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Will Vest (2-4) picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief. Jack Flaherty gave up three runs with seven strikeouts in five innings.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Naylor had two hits, scored a run and knocked in another to lead the Mariners\u2019 offense. Luis Castillo gave up one run in 5 2\/3 innings.<\/p>\n<p>Seattle took a 1-0 lead in the third. Colt Emerson led off with a double, moved to third on a groundout and scored on Cole Young\u2019s single.<\/p>\n<p>Detroit tied it in the fourth on McGonigle\u2019s leadoff homer. The rookie jumped on a Castillo slider and drove it over the right field wall for his fourth long ball.<\/p>\n<p>The Mariners took the lead in the top of the sixth. Julio Rodriguez reached on a single and advanced on left fielder Riley Greene\u2019s throwing error. Naylor then pulled a Flaherty pitch down the right field line for a double to score Rodriguez.<\/p>\n<p>After a walk, Drew Sommers replaced Flaherty. A sacrifice bunt moved up both runners and Patrick Wisdom was intentionally walked with two outs. Sommers then hit Emerson with a pitch, forcing in a run to make it 3-1.<\/p>\n<p>Seattle scored a run against Kyle Finnegan in the seventh. Rodriguez walked, stole second and third, and scored on Randy Arozarena\u2019s single.<\/p>\n<p>Detroit rallied against Cooper Criswell in the bottom of the inning. Spencer Torkelson and Zach McKinstry started it off with singles and Perez drove in both runners with a triple to right. Gabe Speier then came in and retired the next three batters, leaving Perez stranded.<\/p>\n<p>Walks to Zach McKinstry and Perez set up McGonigle\u2019s game-winner.<\/p>\n<p>Rivero breaks out for 5 hits,<br \/>\n6 RBIs as Angels rout Dodgers<\/p>\n<p>Sebastian Rivero drove in a career high six runs with five hits, Jo Adell had a home run among his four hits and the visiting Los Angeles Angels avoided a season sweep at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 13-5 victory on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/movingtohawaiiguide.com\/?p=476\">\u2018It\u2019s possible to make it from the Big Island\u2019: Kealakehe hosts Ho\u2018omau Football Camp for second straight year<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zach Neto hit a three-run home run and Jose Siri drove in a pair of runs as the Angels won after opening 0-5 against the Dodgers. The bottom four hitters in the Angels\u2019 lineup finished the game 13-for-15 with four walks.<\/p>\n<p>Right-hander Jose Soriano (7-4) gave up five runs (four earned) on eight hits over six innings to win for the first time in five starts.<\/p>\n<p>Dalton Rushing hit a three-run home run among his four hits and Ryan Ward added a home run for the Dodgers, who are now 11-4 since May 23.<\/p>\n<p>Dodgers right-hander Emmet Sheehan (3-3) never made it out of the second inning, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks while recording four outs. It was a rare rough start for the Dodgers\u2019 rotation, which entered with a major league-leading 2.86 ERA.<\/p>\n<p>The Angels had the bases loaded with two outs in the second inning when Rivero blooped a two-run single into center field against Sheehan for a 2-0 lead.<\/p>\n<p>The Dodgers cut the deficit in half in the third on a Kyle Tucker groundout.<\/p>\n<p>The Angels had runners at second and third with one out in the fourth when Rivero again dunked a base hit toward center field for a 4-1 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Siri gave the Angels yet another two-run bloop hit to the outfield with two outs and the bases loaded in the fifth for a 6-1 lead.<\/p>\n<p>The Dodgers received back-to-back home runs in the sixth from Rushing and Ward to pull within 6-5. The Angels put the game away with six runs in the seventh, including a 433-foot home run from Adell, another RBI hit from Rivero and Neto\u2019s three-run blast.<\/p>\n<p>The Angels\u2019 Nick Madrigal walked in his first three at-bats, including one on a 14-pitch plate appearance in the second inning and another on a 12-pitch battle in the fifth.
