Fire destroys vacant Hawaiian Beaches home
Fire destroyed an unoccupied home on Kahakai Boulevard in Hawaiian Beaches subdivision Tuesday night.

According to a Hawaii Fire Department statement, seven units and 12 firefighters were dispatched at 8:43 p.m. Tuesday.
The first unit arrived at 8:55 p.m. to find the 1,400-square-foot, single-story wooden house fully engulfed in flames with the roof already collapsed. An abandoned car in the driveway also was partially involved in fire.

No injuries were reported. The fire was reported extinguished at 9:20 p.m. and the scene was turned over to police for further investigation.
The cause of the fire is unknown and estimated property damage is reported at $177,900.
