HILO — Hawaii Hilo women’s s occer will take on a gauntlet of conference champions as part of a 15-match slate this upcoming fall culminating in hosting the 2026 PacWest Championships at the Vulcan Soccer Field.
The 2026 lineup will have all three of last season’s NCAA West Region conference champions on the docket: GNAC champion Simon Fraser (Aug. 29 in Bellingham, Washington), CCAA champion Cal Poly Humboldt (Sept. 4 at home) and PacWest champion Point Loma (Oct. 3 in San Diego, California). The Vulcans are one of two teams who will play all three in the regular season.
Hawaii Hilo posted an 8-3-6 record last fall and made an appearance in the PacWest Championships semifinal round in head coach Gene Okamura’s 10th season.
“We have a challenging road ahead taking on some of the best teams who finished at the top of the West Region last fall,” Okamura said. “But it’s a new season and we’ll be looking to take the next steps forward for this program.” The four-team PacWest Championships postseason tournament is set for Nov. 5 and 7 at Vulcan Soccer Field.

Other home matches include: Colorado Christian (Sept. 6), HPU (Sept. 13), Chaminade (Oct. 10), Westmont (Oct. 15), Jessup (Oct. 21) and Dominican (Oct. 26).
Hawai’i Hilo opens the season with a two-match trip to Bellingham, Washington against GNAC foes Western Washington (Aug. 27) and Simon Fraser before returning home.
PacWest Conference play begins Sept. 26 against Concordia as part of a four-game road trip through Southern California. The PacWest is down to 10 teams after the departures of Menlo and Fresno Pacific to the CCAA and Azusa Pacific to NCAA Division III.
