Due to the approach of Tropical Storm Lala, Saturday’s scheduled exhibition match between the Hawaii Hilo and University of Hawai”i at Manoa women’s volleyball teams has been canceled.

A scheduled keiki clinic for Friday evening and a pregame photo op session at Big Island Candies on Saturday morning have also been canceled.

Hawaii Hilo will open its season next weekend by hosting the Hawaii-Alaska Challenge Aug. 20-22 at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

BIIF events called off

All Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) sporting events on Friday and Saturday on Hawaii Island have been canceled or postponed due to the impending weekend storms. Make-up dates for certain events have yet to be announced.
