Waipio Valley body shows no evidence of foul play

Police said Thursday an autopsy performed on the remains of an unidentified woman found Sunday along the Waipio Valley shoreline turned up no suspicious injuries or evidence of foul play.

Police said Thursday an autopsy performed on the remains of an unidentified woman found Sunday along the Waipio Valley shoreline turned up no suspicious injuries or evidence of foul play.

According to a statement, the official cause and manner of death are pending toxicology results.

Because the body is in an advanced state of decomposition, police are attempting to positively identify the woman through fingerprint database searches and DNA analysis.

The approximate age and race of the female could not be determined due to decomposition.
