The Hawaii County Department of Public Works has announced that work on a Mohouli Street rehabilitation project will begin Monday.

The project, conducted by Isemoto Contracting, will involve roadway rehabilitation and shoulder and drainage improvements between Kilauea Avenue and Komohana Street.

Work hours will be between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the project is expected to be complete by the end of 2027.

During construction hours, one lane in each direction will be maintained, and motorists should be aware of possible lane shifts and single-lane closures.
